Xs & Zeroes

These days, it’ll be hard to lớn imagine Mega Man without Zero. Inspired by fellow Capcom trò chơi series, Strider, Zero’s moveset perfectly shifted the Mega Man trò chơi style to be more melee-focused, with him gathering new fighting game-like techniques after defeating each Maverick boss. This translated so well into Capcom’s fighting games, as Zero became a playable fighter in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.

His own spin-off series, Mega Man Zero, also expanded the Mega Man X story further, as it is set a century after X and the gang thwarted the Maverick menace. Mega Man Zero portrays Zero coming to lớn grips with his & X’s legacy in the world, và how they influenced the next generation of androids in the future.

Hopefully, we’ll see a return to size if Capcom ever decides lớn develop Mega Man X9.
